from yesterday have subsided. all streams and creeks are within their banks again. the napa river has peaked and is beginning to recede. the current level is 9.4 feet, while flood stage is at 16 feet so we're much below that. the flood warning for the napa river has been cancelled. >> it is in the 30's, for some areas and other areas getting last-minute christmas shopping done. temperatures will be in the fifties under mainly sunny skies. here is a look at the visibility with locally dense fog. not that evident in the north bay. with less than one-half mile, napa. santa rosa, novato drive with extra caution towards the golden gate bridge. and the cloud coverage could increase. that is with a storm headed our way the futurecast, by 9:00 a.m., some light rain tomorrow. as we go towards tomorrow, christmas, some light rain for the delta. still, through mountain view, san jose. heavier through the golden gate but that front is going to press through with christmas evening. a lot of people will be enjoying their holiday. however, not much moisture but we could not see that intense rainfall

, 38. tomorrow morning in napa, 36. san francisco and oakland, low to mid 40's. here's the setup in the atmosphere. we still have a light to moderate on shore flow. high pressure building in tonight. building in tomorrow. keeping us dry, but not for long, just for tomorrow and the first half of friday, before the next low pressure area moves in. but this one doesn't have as much moisture in it as the past couple. even though we're still going to get a pretty direct hit from it, we're only going to see light to moderate rainfall. so flooding concerns, i don't see it. but landslide concerns can be an issue, when you get the accumulating rainfall over time, which we have had. rain-free tomorrow and for the first half of friday. then we get on-and-off rainfall friday night into saturday. then the rest of your week looking pretty dry. a great weekend to go hit the slopes. lots of snow. what a difference from last year to this year. tomorrow the difference will be we'll be dry for most of the day. palo alto, 54. san mateo, 53. low to mid 50's for pleasanton, pittsburg and pleasant hill

to be chilly but not quite as cold. still in the 30's in napa, fairfield, livermore, and also when half moon bay appeared and not that bad in half moon bay. but we could see clearer skies tomorrow. as for your extended forecast, we are going to see dry conditions tomorrow. also on sunday with temperatures increasing a bit. the chance of rainfall on monday for the north bay just a slight chance. clouds will increase but drier on tuesday but the rainfall will return wednesday and thursday >> jacqueline: catherine? >> catherine: there is some developing news with the coast guard got a call of two swimmers getting in trouble near the north tower of the golden cleat. you are looking at the scene it they were on stretchers earlier. however those swimmers are being taken to the golden gate station and they will be examined to make sure they're ok. it does not appear that any of them are seriously hurt. we can see one of them being taken off on a stretcher. we are being told that they do not appear to be seriously injured but we will keep you updated. >> as 2012 comes to a close.our own stanley robe

area as well as the bay area. napa is 40 out the door and fremont is waking up to 42 degrees. as we take a look at that afternoon highs everyone will be and the low to mid 50s. >> in downtown san francisco was at 52 degrees and the same as for richmond. the high-pressure is in control briefly and we do have more wet weather on the way. futurecast 4 has a set for 8:00 a.m.. we will be dry and so we do not believe it was the more hazardous conditions. it will be mostly cloudy. the rain will be off shore. as we head into afternoon we do not see much more involved. it may just be a stray showers. if we do see moraine the chances are for tomorrow night. >> i think the mid peninsula and to the south will remain dry by 5:00 p.m.. showers will pick up as we head into the overnight hours. we do have the possibility of stray showers for saturday morning as well. it will start to clear up for saturday afternoon headed into sunday. we may have a 10th of an inch to 1/4. the morning fall on monday and a chance for showers as we linas we head into the new year. >> look at the bay bridge. the meter
